What is Light Pollution?
Light pollution can be defined as the brightening of the night sky caused by street lights and other man-made sources, which has a disruptive effect on natural cycles and inhibits the observation of stars and planets.
For the most part, this effect goes completely unnoticed throughout cities and towns worldwide. Once made aware however, nearly everyone wants to do what they can to minimize its impact. What surprises many people is just how simple the solutions can be. The tricky part is getting everyone else to not only comply, but also to care.
